What is Welded Metal Bellows?
A cylindrical, wrinkled shape mechanical element manufactured with thin sheets of which thickness is 0.05~2.0mm, processed to be wavelike, and Joined by successive weld.
The Welded Metal Bellows is a precision part used in reciprocation motion or severe bending where air tightness is critical.
The Welded Metal Bellows are being widely used in vacuum equipments. synchrotron light source, gauge instruments, and general industries.
 
Effective use of the Welded Metal Bellows
Due to their air tightness, durability, corrosion and heat resistance, bellows are being widely used in many industrial fields inculuding semiconductor process lines. Their reliability has been well proven during the past 50 years of use in defense industries, which accelerates their applicability.
Since these bellows are manufactured by welding very thin (approx. 0.1mm), multi-layered metal sheets, special care should be taken when using them.

1. Dust and solvents (water, oil, alcohol, acetone, freon, etc.) can not invade into magnetic fluid seal device;
2. Using the helium mass spectrometer leak detector to check leakage;
3. May not add the overshoot pressure, add the pressure 1 under vacuum occasions. The pressure only achieves to the technical specified required pressure;
4. When the rotation shaft of magnetic fluid seal device is still, it will lead to vacuum pressure rise if vacuum-pumping on the vacuum chamber or revolve after a long stop under the vacuum condition, this is the inherent phenomena for magnetic fluid seal device, and eliminate it by such measures of early launching;
5 When using the water-cooled product, the temperature of water should be in 20℃ and the pressure in 1~3, cooling water can use ordinary tap water (chloride ion 200mg/L, iron ion 0.3mg/L).
